The Transalp arrived at 3.30 pm on Tuesday and yesterday I did 230 very wet miles down to Portland Bill and thereabouts....gave me some ideas of what I may need to add (handguards and a rear rack might be high on that list, and intriguingly none of the old Givi Tanklock bags officially fit the required flange - itself different from the one I just took off my Hornet! Supposedly to do with the Africa Twin-like tank shape).Wise words….I suspect my 65 kgs weight will not overwhelm the suspension![]()
I bought the givi flange as I already have 4 Givi bags but in the end as I had specced the bike with everything apart from panniers and top box (got top loading metal ones at a steel) I got the dealer to fit the Honda tank bag and to be honest I love it it seems to be just enough for me
the GIvi bags do fit and work without issue, I have fitted them on mine,

. Now if that flange is surplus to your requirements….

You have obviously found the 'Goldilocks' solution! Its odd. Some complain of harshness. Some complain its too soft! I found it ok if you were just pottering.I would go for adjustable cartridges if I were to do it again.
That's still a few more years before they realize it's not still 2010.Still no tubeless or cruise .
