Needs a proper back mudguard And a front one, for that matter :rob

That isn’t just a mudguard , it’s the rear light assembly too
I would suggest it's ONLY a rear light assembly, attached with a stick. Don't get me wrong, I am a big Suzuki fan and I know this will be a great bike, until it rains and you get a wet arse. Style over substance is the order of the day.

Chad likes it.

I’ve ridden the 800DE and the GSX8S so know how good this motor is.
I almost wish I’d ordered one of these instead of the XSR900 GP !

But wife likes it, from when she first saw it at EICMA

If she starts riding more often, might get shot of her F800R and get her one of these instead, then I can ride it too !

A good 44T review and the summing up right at the end is genius

Very comfy , and I’m 6’1”.
High clip ons and low ish pegs .
The motor is sublime . Perfect fuelling even in A mode .Suspension is firmer than expected which is good .
Very smooth up/down quick shifter .

If anybody wants a fun bike go try one . Totally demolishes a Hornet .

Hopefully will get one for wife this year .

She’s decided she doesn’t want one as happy with her BMW F800R.

Looks good in silver, there’s a hint of katana in there

Needs a 4 pot motor though

Suggest you try one first . The last thing it needs is a four pot motor with fuck all midrange . The twin in the 8R is brilliant

You’re certainly right, I’ve just got a mental block for parallel twins, no idea why but I just can’t get excited about them, maybe because they’re in almost everything these days :nenau

I know it’s not objective. :nod

I'm the same, and have ridden some of these new "middleweight" twins. They have adequate shove for the road but definitely don't set the world alight as they are what they are. I would agree though with many of the reviewers that the Suzuki power plant offers possibly the best compromise of the lot. I wasn't overly impressed with the RSV660 when I tried one (preferring my older SV and current DL650 for the fuelling and low end torque), but at least the Suzuki 800 power plant shared across the DL/GSX range has decent low down and mid range punch compared with older 600 IL4's, and feels stronger than the Honda parallel twin used in the Hornet which has more oomph higher up the rev range. However, I just can't get excited by any of these parallel twins. I much prefer the more analogue, torquey ride of older models, preferably in the 900 to litre class. The best one of the newer bunch yet I still think has been the tracer 900/MT/XSR lump using that lovely 900 triple lump. Triumph seems to have it licked for overall build quality (not necessarily reliability) and kit included as standard.
