2025 GB350S

Looked at the demo bike at GT in Plymouth today, and it's a very substantial and well finished bit of kit. The finned cylinder especially looks very imposing, as it's aircooled the whole engine looks proper retro as there's no radiator in the way. They've sold 19 so far, all in grey. Another 11 on order then they say there won't be any more this year.

Voila…….

Voila ……..

Piss poor vid .
The Speed Four should not be included in the test as it’s not a retro and the muppets completely miss the point of the Honda and RE- bikes that are designed for pottering around , possibly in an open face lid, enjoying the view at a relaxed pace .
Cue bellend journo shown lying on the tank as though he’s at Santa Pod !
MFG said they preferred the Triumph as it had twice the power then criticised its snatchiness at low speed, where the others excel …. Journo comedy gold .

Exactly what I thought. I'm thinking of getting a retro like that GB as a replacement for my wife's CB300 naked, but she's resisting it as it's physically a lot bigger. I'll see if she rides much this year as she's pretty inexperienced and not wanting to go out too much. If she continues to get out, then we'll keep her CB, but if it just stays untouched I might swap it for a GB as my own bimbling along bike. I went out on the 300 yesterday as my NC is sorn'd and it was a hoot on the back roads.
With a few new cameras up on unfamiliar roads I haven't ridden in ages, I was glad I didn't have an excess of power that might tempt me to "press on"....

Agreed , very poorly prepared. When describing the very smooth vibration free engine he “thought” it might have two balancer shafts! It has! Why not throw a Ktm Duke in there, then he could use words like “ peaky” when comparing power. A more valid & entertaining comparison would have been comparing the RE and GB to a 50’s Ariel or BSA 🤣🤣🤣. Ok they were only 17/18 bhp but a lot lighter.

Pah, those so called journo's didn't mention the 2 grand worth of suspension mods that would be required to make the the Triumph rideable with its awful big piston forks and crashy rear shock (as detailed by our resident suspension expert https://www.ukgser.com/community/threads/2025-gb350s.440602/post-5732452 ). And heaven forbid it will need a remap to cure the speed snatchiness, who would expect to have to do that to a properly developed bike? How on earth it was voted bike of the year I will never know

I saw this display in Mumbai airport in July last year - you'd imagine India would be the biggest target market for this bike.

I like the Indian colour schemes. Also note the optional backrest, choice of screens and of course the saree guard!

It may have just been the lighting, but the finishes looked very good.
