2025 GB350S

That is a nice bike. The latest issue of Bike magazine dropped on the doormat a few days ago with a test of this v an Enfield and a Triumph, they picked the Triumph as the winner but I think I’d prefer the Honda, it looks more the thing (sorry, can’t put it into better words!). Enjoy riding it.
Of course they did as it’s all about power in Uk . Triumph is horrid thing with buzzy motor and crap fuelling

If anyone didn't spec a USB charger from new, I've uploaded a little tutorial about adding one for not much money.

The OE Honda one isn’t bad value at £45 and is very neat. USB-C too

Shame you didn’t actually show where you put the charger ! I gather that it just dangles out of a hole in the back of the headlight ?

Yes, that habit did get rather out of hand! We renovated a couple of houses before this place and the man maths kicked in - to be fair, I use them all pretty frequently and love the way everything works so well.

Yes, I’ve gone mad too, way back in 2012…. 💰💰💰💰💰
As you are, I too use them daily in my professional life.
My little CXS drill driver is my very first Festool purchase, original batteries and I use the drill literally every business day.

Ey up.

Not watched it as CSTC but the comments section is worth a read just to see the RE ladyboys spitting feathers 🧚 😜

.....and the scores are in....Enfield running-in period was a shocker. Good that SF includes a pillion test, few testers do.

So I left Guernsey yesterday morning with less than 20 miles on the bike . I’ve now added another 200 and it’s already loosening up .
Ok, with 20 bhp it’s never going to be fast but it pulls just fine .
Tests such as MCN or Bike mag pitching it against the HNTR350 and Triumph Speed 400 then saying the Triumph is the best because it’s got twice the power to me is utter bollox .
Personal preference but I had a Speed 400 as a loan bike for the day and hated it.
Granted it had poke but I hated the suspension and glitchy fuelling , plus it doesn’t look retro to me and it’s too small for me at 95kgs and 6’1”.
The GB350S is quite a large bike physically.
I’m staying with a mate who has a new BSA Gold Star and the 350 is bigger with a taller seat .

We swapped bikes for 30 minutes today .
Personally I didn’t like the BSA. With my dodgy back I found the low seat and high bar riding position uncomfortable and worst of all was the very soft rear suspension. Riding on bumpy roads it was like a pogo stick , and he’s got preload wound up to one below max.
He was impressed with my Honda and said it was far nicer than his Royal Enfield 350 Classic that he traded in for the BSA.
My bike actually goes better than I expected. The long stroke motor has nice grunt .
It needs working but that’s part of the fun .
Fifth gear is like an overdrive but the bike will do 80 no problem.
But it’s best sat at 50/60 where it’ll do 115 mpg .
I filled it up at 175 miles and it said I still had 160 miles range .I put in 7.4 litres and it’s a 15 litre tank so that’s 350 miles to empty !!!
Sounds great with the Red Rooster exhaust I fitted and the panniers work well .
I think it’s a bloody bargain . It’s cost me under £4k and that’s with exhaust, Honda luggage, bikini fairing and USB-C charger .
No wonder it’s selling so well .

Got back home yesterday having done 550 miles in last 10 days in UK.
It’s a great bike BUT the suspension is quite firm and that combined with the riding position has set my nerve pain off which is caused by damaged discs in back.
I realised it was after a longish day on bike that I was sore next day . Cut a long story short , I advertised the bike for sale yesterday at 1430 whilst leaving Poole on ferry.
Got home to have 2 voice mails . Two guys wanting to see it today.
Washed it this morning .

First guy pitches up at 1315.
Looks at it , takes it round the block and says he’ll have it for asking price .
Goes home to get wife to transfer money .Paid 10 minutes later and he’s back at 1415 to collect.
So it’s gone in less than 24 hours of advertising .

Don’t get me wrong -they are amazing bikes for the money but unfortunately a few bikes set off my nerve pain and this turned out to be one of them .
Surgery has been discussed but it’s quite major and I’m trying to avoid .

Oh well, got a bike -sized hole in the garage now , as VOGE is staying in Brittany ….

Sorry to hear it didn't work for you, but at least it sold quickly!

Hopefully exercise and limiting your riding to bikes that don't bother your back is all it takes. Worst case scenario is surgery but if needed can be very successful.

I have three motorcycle friends who developed back problems. Treatment began with cortisone shots which helped temporarily at first but after a couple years two now have undergone major surgery with rods and screws inserted.

Pat, the second one, had his done last June. Pain had been really limiting him to the point he couldn't ride his new 2024 Goldwing more than an hour due to the discomfort, and finally had to quit riding all together. He said after surgery the recovery and healing was slow at first, but with rehab by Fall he was able to accomplish light duty chores. He told me last month, 10 months after surgery, he finally felt 100% and was back to riding, now pain free. He's out orbiting around the country on his Goldwing now, last text was from Kansas.

Oh no - really sad to see you selling so soon. Do you mind me asking what price it achieved?
Cost me £3375 and with all the bits about £4k.
Advertised it for £2950 no offers . Gone within 24 hours . Probably too cheap but hey ho. I’d rather sell it than have it lurking and being dicked about

Thanks for that .
Really don’t want back surgery .
Seeing a surgeon in a couple of weeks which may require part of my colon being lopped off .
Hate getting old
