Is that factory lowered ? Looks like it from the pics.
adaptive ride height looks that way ? not sure you can lower them when they have adaptive ride height but i could be wrong :)

Glad it's not closer. :hide

Can’t take it with you ? Apparently importing isn’t too complicated

France is made for motorcycles
Hi yes I have looked into that in detail but the cost is high with the import duties.

What import duties ?
I moved to France in 2022. We came on my Africa Twin. As I had owned it for more than 6 months and I was coming here on a 12 mth renewable visa, it came as part of my personal goods. I had to pop into the the Douane at Calais (Eurotunnel) obtain a form 846 and then pay a chap 50€ to do the paperwork and within about 3 weeks, I received my French plates, paid my one off fee of about €180 and got on with riding it on amazing roads with far better weather.....PM me if you want further details or details of the ever so helpful expat Brit who does these re-registrations for a living.

Alternatively...I am leaving France in April and will be trying to sell my Honda NT1100.....and looking for a UK bike when we land back in blighty...(If it doesn't sell, I will bring it back under the same reciprocal rules as I brought my AT over here..owned over 6mths and promise not to sell for 12 mths after the move)

@AndrewM

Bring as much insurance history as you can, proof of cover for as many years possible for car and bike

It takes 13 years to get full no claims here, I managed to prove most of mine when I immigrated so I didn’t have to start from scratch

When I arrived, they wanted the last 3 years proof. NOT as a single letter showing ## years NCD, the 3 seperate letters showing consecutive NCD. (Luckily, I had the last one and I contacted a previous insurer who were incredibly helpful...me having left them for another firm) so I managed to get the full French NCD. French insurance is expensive compared to UK...IMO)
