I do worry that Triumph is bringing too many new models out and variants of others across all genres. I worry that too many will become obsolete very early in their production run, and that may devalue existing bikes. A good buy possibly second hand, but not good for the buyers of new bikes.
Also too much tech. Why the f*ck do you need radars FFS and auto shift. Are riders just getting too f*cking lazy?
I suspect Some riders don’t know how to ,,or do not have the skill of short shifting up the box , which I was doing increasingly less of as am getting older . However that new Suzuki 800 I bought last year has a VERY slick quick shifter and it is so SO easy to pin it and run up the box much slicker than manual quick shift - - - I ,,, LIKE it

Lovely, I think the Tiger is one of the best bikes for UK roads, I will probably have another one before my biking days are over.
It's an evolution of the current model, not a new model and the Tiger has been a thing since 1936. They can't stand still, but evolving the bike is a smart move, although suspect some of that is forced by Euro emissions (e.g. from 900cc 950cc)
I agree to a point, as an example I like cruise control but not radar cruise control, I also love quickshifters. I wouldnt turn down lean sensitive braking and really loved the heated seat and grips. I also like traction control and ABS. I'm not an auto fan on bikes and tried an auto Africa twin against the manual one and I was much happier on the manual one. Technology moves on, the worry is how much more complex it makes the bike to fix, and if manufacturers try to move to a subscription model for those add ons.

Quick shifters i understand it's all the other shite that they're putting on bikes that's not really needed . I TOTALY Agree with that , imho , bikes have become over complex and over expensive for what the are
I spent a summer a while back wandering camping off the bike in Norway from Scotland used a Honda Transalp 650 and it did the job just fine ! - - - - sorry KA kinda digressing the wee thread

I bought a Tiger Sport 660 2 years ago at the start of 2024.
I like the bike, then Triumph go and fit cruise control ( not backwardly compatible), quick shifter and a few other bits and bobs. They also kept the price unchanged which devalued previous models.
I’ve no problem with progress, but don’t take the piss out of earlier buyers.
