please help...

i have 20w 50 in the bike.

i have to do 600 miles or so over the next 3 days and am a little low on oil (2 thirds down the glass)

can i top up with some 10w40 that i have in the garage? (i don't have any 20w50....and not likely to get any soon)

many thanks....

dont know about mixing it, I dont think so. I do know that you can get 4ltrs of 20/50 from B&Q for £6.

Yup mix it no problems.
Synthetic, standard and grades, they all mix

True enough, but there are one or two castor based oils like Castol R40 or Castrol B353 which you cannot mix with mineral, semi- or fully-synthetic oils. Not that you're likely to find them in Halfords .....
