24,000 mile service - Anyone had one and how much was it?

Well mines rocketing up to its 24K service and I've been told that its a biggie. Thats good news in that it all gets sorted and done but I've been told I'll not get any change out of £400 !!

Just wondered if anyone else has had their 24K one done and if this seems about right.

I was told £340 a few months back when i inquired but with earthquakes, civil unrest and Pakistanis claiming legal aid i imagine it heading for £400 now

Man maths, if I bought a new 12 GSA I didn't need to buy new tyres, renew the warranty or pay for a 24000 service and it came with a full tank of fuel!

My local dealer quoted me around the £300 mark, without an oil and filter change, which I have recently done myself. A quick look through the forum and I have located a local BMW trained independent who will do the work for half that price.

No extra work beyond 24k service and annual inspection.

When i told him i would post the price he said thats with a discount included and it included FD/Gearbox/Brake fluid change.

If i didn't love the bike and fear the FD failure then i think i would some how see the reality of how much this bike costs a year.
