2610 bleeping

hello all.
Just returned from a 2500 mile tour of europe and have a small queery about my 2610. Every now and again it makes a serious of fast bleeps. Usually 3 in a row. I have no idea what it means and cant find a ref to it in the manual. Any ideas anyone?

Did the screen view change at the same time (tabs disappear etc.)?

I think it did sometimes but not always. Thinking that it might be alerting me to points of interest etc. Bit strange!

ERR,
just spent a bit of time searching old threads and it seems as if it might be sunlight activating the ir remote sensor. Will disable it on the menu and see if it continues.
Should really have did a proper search before posting. Sorry

ine used to do exactly the same, disabling the IR worked for me, mind you since returning to Blighty I've yet to see any 'Bright sunshine'

Press Menu, then Options, then Menu again, then toggle between Enable / Disable remote.
