2610/BMW Navigator II Mount Loose...

I've got a BMW Navigator II (Garmin 2610 equivalent) and noticed it wobbling about it in its mount earlier today. It turned out that the small crosshead screw which connects the 'sliding back' on to the unit had come undone - this is the location that the top clip engages with - so it potentially allowed the unit to topple forwards out of the mount.

It might be a good idea for you to check the security of this screw in your unit...

Next time I'm talking with a Harley-Davidson rider, I'll ask for a drop of thread locking compound (they all carry gallons of it with them at all times) and put a drop on that screw...
