2610 locking up on Bike??

Hi all

Been out on my bike for the first time with my Garmin 2610 GPS mounted across the handlebars connected to Autocom… however the GPS unit kept bleeping on its own then locked up it did this about 6 times

I works fine in the car any ideas? The only thing I could think of was vibration

Never had a problem with mine.

You could try a Master Reset. In a previous thread Wedders Gasman said :

"To master reset a 2720 you switch it off, hold buttons map and menu and switch the unit back on again. It is like hard booting a computer it clears everything and resets it to factory settings, basically it cleanses the unit."

This may also work for the 2610. Might be worth giving it a go ....

Lock up

Was the sun out could be the old problem of sun on the infored bit Turn infored off in the menu and try again.

Or stick some tape over the sensor

thanks guys yes the sun was out, But how do you turn the infored off?
