Could it to do with MoD jamming signals in the south west??

Check that the map detail box is ticked

Check GPS doesn't think it's in the middle of a big ocean

Any more information on what you fcuked with / done recently?

Last used tuesday last week (new toy) all was fine

Tried to use it tooday to find a bit more about it and only get a blank screen
Had spoken to Garmin about registering it and it needs to be deregistered first could have they blocked it has thhey have serial number or could it be to do with satellite jaming exercise from the MoD that are taking place in DEVON

Don't think the registering is the problem area. Have you tried switching it on inside your house and turning the satellites off? If there's jamming occuring that would bypass that problem

Maps back on the memory card was not pushed in properly

You should have still got the basemap Unless your unit has the US etc basemap Do your maps seem to disappear if you zoom out, above 5 miles IIRC when the card is in ok?
