2610 problem

When i serch for a new address the unit can find it fine and show me on the map, but when I ask it to plot a route it always (1/2 a dozen times) takes me to an old route I have stored, (possably the last route it calculated about 4 or 5 weeks ago!) The only thing I have done is upload the recent update! any ideas?

Nobody with any ideas? perhaps I need to give garmin a ring, bet there on there hols!!

Thanks for the thought Whatton, yes thats when it plots the route to the old waypoint\route, I have tried it loads of times this aternoon on different address's and it always plots a route to the same old saved route, I may have to delete all my routes stored in the unit and try from scrach maybe.

Have you checked if the unit is running the latest firmware on Garmins website, it sounds like a bug in the units firmware if it is defaulting to a previous waypoint when navigating.

If you need to update the firmware, be sure to backup all your maps/routes/waypoints to your PC before updating the unit as it will wipe and reset the memory as part of the firmware update when it reboots.

Just a thought, but what happens if you remove the previous route?

Press Menu - Route - Route List - Menu - Delete (either the offending one or all of them).

Surely if the offending route isn't there anymore, it can't default to it?

Thats the next thing on the list to do Taff, no chance to get to today so maybe tonight, thanks for the sugestion!
