Well, after all today's fun in setting up the registration........
Many thanks to Whatton for his idiot guides to waypoints, routes and transferring maps to the unit.
I thought that once I'd selected the mapping to transfer to the unit then I'd be able to follow the test routes I'd set up in the demonstrator mode.
I go into route, select it from the list, it then says
"this route does not match the available maps, do you want to recalculate?"
If I do recalculate then for some reason all the routes want to start in northern Taiwan and say 6050 miles to next turn,
which would then lead me to the intended first turn of my journey.
If I do not recalculate it says "route calculation error: No roads near starting point" (I imagine this is as I have no detailed mapping for Taiwan - the transferred mapping for UK is on the GPS btw.)
I know quite a few people must have gone down the 2610 route so I'm looking for any crumbs of comfort
Any advice?
