My new 2610 in on route from gpsw and it comes with the standard size 512mb cf card which I am led to believe is large enough to hold uk map source but not all europe. I know some of you have bought larger cards and they are cheap enough on ebay ect.

What I want to know is how big is big enough (ooer matron) to hold full europe and uk overlap for speed cameras ect. 2gb or will I need 4gb ?

Thanks Bob

Bob,

Get yourself a 2Gb card.

You need 1.7Gb (app) for all of Europe and the addition of favourites etc, and it is always best to minimise the number of times a card is in and out the unit. (it is possible to bend the pins inside the 2610 if you are not careful :nono )

There are cards available for under £19, but I would recommend going for Sandisk or similar from the likes of Ebuyer at £26. :D

Sure, it's £7 dearer, but just may be more reliable.
