Got one from this site can someone tell me how to reset the home location
Thank you

Assuming that you didn't get a manual with the unit if you bought it 2nd hand................

Press and hold down the MENU key. The route menu appears on the screen.
There's a button marked set HOME waypoint.
press this button.
Choice is now "Current Location, Use Map and Find.
Click on Current Location (when you are at home, doh!)
Touch "OK"
Screen changes to New Waypoint screen. Click OK, and home is set.

To plot a course from any location back to your home, just press the FIND button twice. A choice is shown if you want to get home. press YES and away you go.

If you did get a manual... well then

RTFM ? :augie

In case you can't be bothered to find it Page 31 of owners manual.

In case you bought secondhand and didn't get a manual here is my more helpful side. :D

To set a HOME Waypoint:
1. Press down and hold the MENU key on the SP. A 'Route Menu' page appears.

2. From the 'Route Menu' page, select 'Set HOME Waypoint'.

3. Select one of three options. This is most easily done while at home and select Current Location but its up to you.

4. Once you select an option, find your location using the option. Touch 'OK' when you have found your location. A 'New Waypoint' page appears.

5. From the 'New Waypoint' page, touch 'OK'. Your HOME Waypoint is set.

Knock yourself out finding new routes home :thumb

An alternative method (more complex overall, but perhaps easier for folks who use MapSource on a regular basis) is to simply rename any user waypoint to "Home". The word "Home" is a reserved word, meaning that any waypoint with that name will be recognized and treated as the special home waypoint for the purpose of quickly accessing it from the menus, or initiating navigation to it by pressing the FIND button twice on the 2xxx series of GPSRs, etc.

Note that if you change the text language displayed on your GPSR - for example from English to German - the word 'Home' will no longer be recognized as the home waypoint, because the equivalent reserved word in German is 'Zu Hause'. The same concept carries over to other languages as well - Maison for French, etc..

As has been mentioned before....best not have the exact address/location in case the unit gets pinched....:(

I have mine set a small distance away.....or choose an address where there are a couple of resident Rottweilers so when the scumbag that's nicked it tries to do over yer drum, he gets a warm welcome... :D
