My son has a 2620 on his GS 650, it works fine on bike supply but wont hold charge for more than a minute, any suggestions?
Is there an internal battery I can replace.
ps Home charger tested an works fine.

There is no internal battery on any of the 2*** series streetpilots AFAIK.

Whilst there's no internal battery, if there's a requirement a workaround can be found here.

Another aspect of the 2620 is that it uses an IBM Microdrive for it's storage, where other Garmins use solid state memory. This makes it more susceptible to sudden failure as the Microdrive doesn't like the vibration/shock inherent with motorcycle use.
