Hi, could I ask please, I plan my route, on the pc, mark all the waypoints, send over to the garmin, maps, routes and waypoints, and it only loads half the route? the maps and waypoints go over, When I activate the route the unit asked it cannot follow the route, would I like to replan? I've tried it so many times, even change the point it loads upto. still no joy. any help please.

do things in little steps.
1) maps over to the Garmin first.
2) Send over a little route - does this work?
3) Send over a bigger route and so on.
4) I use one route for each day - prefixed with the day number 01,02,03 etc and I never seem to run out of waypoints for that route.

ok will try that, but I was under the impression that every time, I send over to the garmin, it would over ride any previous data sent? am I wrong.

On the earlier, non NT versions, that only applies to the mapping. You can upload routes and way-points and still retain those previously uploaded.

Please note that you only have, ISTR, the capacity for 50 routes and 500 user defined way-points (points of interests, favourites or whatever you want to call them). The POIs that are part of the mapping data are not effected, or included, in these amounts as are the navigation nodes added in Mapsource (either by you or the invisible ones added by Mapsource) although there are finite limits for these.

I tended to keep the way-points and routes on my Quest as clear as I could, only loading what I needed for a particular trip. You can obviously save those you may use again on your PC and reload them when needed.

right, I split my trip into stages and loaded over to the garmin. and all stages have gone over, my whole trip which is good. BUT when I go to activate them the unit asks me that it cannot follow the route, do I want to use it, or would I like to recalculate? If I recalculate it goes way off my intended route. any ideas again? I was going to call garmin this week.

If you look in the top left hand corner of Mapsource you will see the version City Navigator Maps that you are using. Is this the same version that appears on the Garmin unit?
