Invasion of the monkey bikes, their annual rally along with the veteran bikes, normally all meet up at Ventnor.

I was invited to some sort of music festival over there this weekend - is that the Monkey / Veteran event?

Hi folks,

I'm on the IoW this weekend. Are there any routes / villiages that I should be sure not to miss? We're staying in Shanklin.

We are away tomorrow on your side gettin the bikes serviced at CW so wont be around. Look out for the bike meet at Shanklin Cafe on the seafront on Sunday morning, if its nice may go down but think rain is forecasted

Last time I was in Ventnor, the Burts Beer was pumped up from the cellar in glass fronted beer engines.

Had a wonderful time on the IoW on Saturday - 120 miles over and up and down and everywhere. Saw two polis cars chasing each other alles uber der Platz. Maybe they have so little to do it's a case of, "I'm i-in Ventnor na na na na na" then the other one has to race over the island. Still, a beautiful place you have there. stayed in Shanklin which was an unusual town. Down one side all closed and a bit run down, down the other all cottage pubs and nice cars. Odd.

Going to the Normandy beaches this weekend on my own for beers and a bit history.

Had a wonderful time on the IoW on Saturday - 120 miles over and up and down and everywhere. Saw two polis cars chasing each other alles uber der Platz.

Could of been due to a 20 yr old motorcyclist killed on the Military Rd, Freshwater Saturday afternoon. Apparently lost control of his green Kawasaki. That road is notorious for speedin bikers unfortunately
