2720 anounces every navigation via-point

When creating a route in Mapsource the navigation via-points that I've added by clicking and dragging the route to the desired road, once uploaded to my new StreetPilot 2720, get announced as I approach them. These are not turns just point that I've used to influence the route. It seems an unnecessary feature, my Quest doesn't do it, is there a way to turn it off that I haven't found in the menus

I'm using the Test To Speech voice, that my Quest obviously lacked, if that's relevant.

2820 does the same thing... (I don't use text to speech language)... I'd love to know how to turn the "arriving at via point" off...

Some people stick down a lot of via points on their routes (Fanum ) and I'd have to navigate in silent mode to stay sane if I tried to use a route from some person such as that...

Thanks very much, looks like an ideal solution until Garmin pull their finger out and change Mapsource and/or the unit firmware to remove this issue.

I'll give it a try but the removal of the ability to recalculate might be an issue for me, we'll see.
