Does anyone round here use the Alan Midland BT heaset like the one shown here
http://www.alan.co.za/acatalog/Motorcycle_Intercoms.html

I am looking to pair it to a 2820 but have to get it via mail order so don't have a chance to try-before-buy. Basically am looking for it to be able to link to the 2820 so I can get voice directions, phone feed and MP3 feed, and link to the second headset when I have a pillion.

Any comments, suggestions, thoughts, ideas would be most welcome,

Regards,
Dale

Thanks Ty,

A couple more questions if you will indulge me ...

1. Battery life and recharging. website says 7 hrs. Is this realistic? Also, do you recharge from 220v or bike battery?

2. I will use the same setup as you (2820, phone, headset) when on my own for guidance, phone and music, but what about when you have a passenger? can they hear the music or just talk to you?

3. Does the unit you have have 2 speakers or just one? on the Cardo website they show one, but the Midlands site shows 2. I realise they are not sterio, but would be nice to get sound in both ears!

Dale

Hi Dale,

Battery life is about 7Hrs, charging about 2Hrs. What I did was get a charger universal charger for the bike.

I don't know about pillion to pillion and listen to music, I think yes because the 2820 has 3 BT channels so should accommodate 2 Scalariders, 1 phone

The unit I got has just one speaker, but I would contact Cardo in the UK to check if the P2P has 2 speakers. I'm sure I have seen it with 2. However I did add another speaker my self which works great

Hope this helps

Cheers

Ty
