2GB card question

I see from previous threads that the 2610 will run a 2 GB card, if people run this compared to the 1GB card any problems?, does it slow the memory down etc?

Just with 2008 Mapsource even more info so before I buy bigger card I was wondering about the problems and whether to buy one.

Got a 2 GB card in my 2650.. no problems, and the whole of europe will go on it (I believe)

been running a 2 gb in my 2610 from new and have had no problems so far (touch wood)

i just quite couldnt get all of europe on one 2 gig card, ah well, now using a 133x 2 gig card, works well.PAul

How did you manage that? I was looking to download all of V10 (City Navigator 2008) to my 2Gb card, but according to Mapsource the total file size for all of V10 is "Over 4Gb."

The whole of V10 includes europe as we know it and all of scandanavia and eastern europe...........I think the V11 will have the the Himalayas for the 'Adventurous' (read knobbly tyre brigade)
