Our 3-day course in Hechlingen is over and it was great!
We have learned a lot, had great weather and lots of fun.
What more can you want?
We left with an XT660R (belongs to my brother in law Rudi, who also has an RT) and my R80G/S on a trailer.
Gecko and Rabbitson were in another car.
There were 30 riders, divided in 4 groups.
First there were some "ground exercices". Motorcycle gymnastics, slalom, figure of 8...
Then there was the climbing. But before you learn how to get up, you learn how to come down if the engine stalls going up...
Braking on gravel. First with locked rear wheel only. Then with locked rear + almost locked front.
Swimming practice: here I borrowed Davids rental GSa because my lil' airhead gets nervous near water

A lot of practice on the Enduro park grounds:
Together with Marc (Gecko):
David (Rabbitson):
a couple of Canadians we met there, Ruby & Mike:
and Rudi:
Rudi made it through the mud hole alright. But you can do it like this too:
Then your GS goes to the tool shop like this:
and you look like that:
Notice Gecko in the back. Rabbitson was wearing *his* boots
We did half a day of tarmac training too. That's the bit I liked the least.
The tour on the tank tracks in the neighbourhood was the best part! Lots of different terrain types.
The sand pit was fun too:
and the hill climb on day 3. Going up ain't so bad, but coming back down is the scary bit:
Against all expectations I didn't drop it once in 3 days.
But I had loads of fun!
And my G/S kept up fine with all the modern technology beasts.
Very satisfying after the wrenching winter months
At first I had my doubts about going, but I would certainly do it again. Thanks for making me go mates
