3 yellow wires for GPS - which is which?

I am trying to connect my GPS (old Quest for now) and have a BMW canbus plus; the one with 3 yellow wires coming from it.

The wires are marked 1, 2 & 3

Can any tosser out there tell me which one is positive, which one ground and which one can be safely snipped so I can splice to my qpak wiring ? (have tried searching without success)

On the BMW socket there are 3 yellow wires numbered 1,2,3.

1 is negative/earth
2 is spare/pulse
3 is positive/ live
