Had the first box new with the bike Sept 04. First box failed, became loose on the base plate ( never dropped off though )after about 10 months. This was replaced under warranty. New box was an improved box? However this developed the well known crack next to the locking mechanism. Just received the 3rd generation box under a goodwill claim. ( Many thanks to Paul at Blue Bell Crewe 
) Oh and this box needs a new base plate to match.
Sorry have no pics of the old box but here is the locking mechanism on the new. It looks a lot stronger
