Still have not managed to fix my SD card and intermittent 'crashing' problems on my 660 - hard reset did not do much at all and Garmin are now recommending downgrades for affected customers or a RMA for a new unit.

Dear Garmin customer

Thank you for contacting Garmin Europe.

To downgrade the software please go to http://www.gawisp.com/perry/zumo/
and you will be able to see the Zumo 660 software version at the bottom
of the page. You will then simply need to click the link for software
version while your Zumo is plugged into the computer. Click to run the
software and follow the onscreen instructions to downgrade the system
software. After this test the device then try to upgrade the software
again.

If there is anything else I can help you with then please let me know.
Alternatively you can search for a solution here: http://www.garmin.co.uk/support

Kind regards,

Garmin Europe

My 660 has started crashing recently. Freezing, shutting itself out... I had, in fact, upgraded software a few weeks ago. So, this would be related?

Conversely, I am v happy with 4.2. It's finally fixed my bugbear bug of not displaying properly after a 'swipe' in mor map view.
My garmin numaps lifetime is working.
So finally, I'm happy with my 660.
I gotta say I don't really use the mp3 player or the bluetooth, so that may be the difference.

After the nightmare I had with v3.7, I used v4.2 on a trip to Scotland last week with no issues.

Just got back from a trip to Spain and Portugal. My 660 with V4.2 software, performed without any glitches.

No problems here either.:thumb2
Latest upgrade works perfectly for me too...

I do sometimes find that the SD card doesn't work but a quick on/off solves it.

Thanks everyone - I have now downgraded from 4.2 and all is fine. I then did a soft reset and re-upgraded to the new version of 4.2 (which has the patch incorporated) and its seems to be working OK now... will test it for a bit and report back...
