£600 RAISED after costs were taken out of the money from the 28th Dec.

Thanks for those who paid because they couldn`t make it :bow

I love it when things go well and they did, right up too THE END :thumb

Would like to thank Steve for leading the Inter group, good pace and really enjoyable. Also thanks to dave for making me laugh so much..:D

Thankyou to Mrs B & daughter for bringing out the lunch, very much appriecated by all.

Will be sorting out the video I took from my crash helmet soon.

Once again thankyou Steve, awesome event.:thumb2

No worries Steve, did he make it to the end and was he any happier ;)

He needs to fit some rim locks and get him to either carry a spare tube or swap that one out for a newer on as the one I gave him already had a couple of patches... should hold, but better safe than sorry.

Sorry I wasnt able to help out with the leading this time - I'll be there next time.

John

Well done on the funds rased!

NO

What were those tyre clip things they looked usefull

mmm I didnt get the impression he would be... did he at least make it to the end of the day on that tube?

Not sure which clip you mean, think it might have been this... a bead buddy

I'm no expert and changing tyres, but it does seem to help.

This was the other thing I had an Air Valve Puller

its a bit fiddly, but seemed to work a lot better this weekend than it does on the thicker tubes I now use.

I'm not sure if he'll read this, but this is a rim lock

I'm sure you know what it is Steve, but to the un-enlightened, it sits between the tyre tape and the rim, on the inside of the tyre. you clamp them down as the last part of refitting a tyre and the idea is they stop the tyre slipping around the wheel - ripping the inner tube at the inflator.

The rider with the dodgy tyre (Simon) did enjoy the rest of the ride (including an off into a deep puddle :augie). He was beaming when he got back and he is aware that the repair made at lunch is temporary!

Thanks LL for sorting him out (I didn't have a spare tube myself as I am running mooses now) , I was suprrised that he had no tools at all but at least he will probably carry a tin of that tyre inflating gel in case it happens again.

Mike

You were miles off in the distance ..... A tiny dot on the horizon :D - I was sweeping but at least I got a giggle ( as well as a run-in with an electric fence :augie )
