and this as well...
Every so often this pops up. It happens all the time when my mrs is checking her (Yahoo) emails and now it's started popping up for me.
Any ideas what causes it and how I can get rid?

try deleting your Mrs and turning off and on your ability to live and see what happens

Are these pages visited from your bookmarks/favourites?

If so, go to the home page of the site. navigate to where you want to be and re-save the bookmark and then retry it (using the newly saved link). If it fails then, you could have corruption in you bookmarks/favourites file...

This indicates that it is something dell has done when your OS was installed.

This indicates it is a browser add-on at fault (probably installed by Dell) - try starting IE without add-on and see if it goes away.

Of course it could also be linked to the National problem that AOL are having at the moment.... get yourself a decent ISP :thumb

:blast

Yep, I'm on Talk Talk so maybe that's the problem. :nenau

A neat piece of marketing eh?

Crapphone whorehouse buys up AOL UK when AOL realise its ISP service hasn't become the money-spinner tied into on-demand video it thought it would.

Crapphone whorehouse knows AO(He)L's name is shite over here so a re-branding exercise is in order. Coupled with some attractive pricing models for bundled phone & interweb and unsuspecting customers are duped, many of whom were ex-AO(He)L's customers looking for a relief from their inflated pricing for crap service.

Ta-da :comfort

I.E.?

You might also try dumping I.E. and using Mozilla Firefox which has loads of add-ons available for free to control and limit tagged on sites from accessing your machine when browsing.

I use NoScript with Firefox and sometimes there are 4 or 5 links all wanting to pop up and plant cookies on your 'puter, many of them tracking cookies!
