41mm Fork Plug Removal Tool

The F650 and 700GS 41mm forks have plugs at the top that are under spring pressure and retained by a circlip-like retaining ring. The plug has to be pushed down against the spring to access and remove the retaining ring. There are various McGyver ways to do this but I decided to design and 3D print a tool for the job.

Me, I just use a large copper drift. 1st off, give the cap a tap to free it up, then just push the cap down the gently prize the spring clip out with a small screw driver. Simlpes . . . like me

It is an awkward job. Especially on your own. Well done for creating a solution. Even BMW/Bosch didn't bother designing anything.
