I think there might just be some real world implications for those of us who don't wish to travel by ox-cart and who want to continue to heat our houses and cook with gas.

Only if they actually had the balls to do what might (allegedly) be required to meet those targets.....thus guaranteeing being ousted at the next elections, giving the power back to those who would reverse the policies.

It's a self-fulfilling prophecy I guess......we'll end up in a world-situation dictated by the apathetic desires of the lowest common denominator and the way our political structure forces them to respond.
