50th Anniversary Goldwings

That’s the name!, I’ve been trying to remember it. We were outside Appleyards on the fire appliance when a Goldwing owner dropped his trying to ride up onto the pavement. After watching him for a while it was agreed we should help him pick it up. It was very funny. The salesman Barry did mention it most times I went in for a couple of years after. I think they used to camp on the rugby Union ground.
Uttoxeter races last year, something like 1500 turned up, they came past my house in a parade up to Donington, it was mental, took about an hour for them to get past.

I think they are back again this year, I guess being the 50th it will be a really big ding.

You’re guessing wrong then .
It actually tells you in the article attached

Amongst them is a combination of Eternal Gold and Mahogany Brown, which draws inspiration from the 1988 GL1500 variant – with unique badging also marking the special birthday.

That's just guff from Honda's PR dept. They're all avid Chevy Chase fans really, everybody knows that!

Saw the 50th Anniversary bikes at a Goldwing dealer today.

Liked the Bordeaux Red, but a pity the satnav is no longer fitted and you have to rely on wireless CarPlay or Android Auto.

Salesman's view on the analogue instruments - "Premium quality that emulates Rolex - you don't see a digital Rolex" :DD

I’ve not used the inbuilt sat nav once on mine . Why would you when there’s CarPlay with much better nav options/apps ?
