To GS Club trip to Garmisch..................

No doubt the rest of the trippers are getting excited too!!!

For me and a lucky few......

2 weeks of fun and frolics in France/Germany/Austria/Italy (Dolomites) then onto Stella Alpina rally

Looks like there's going to be a whole load of GS riders in Europe in next 2 weeks...........with the Adv Rider meet at the Stella, also

It's going to be a helluva party!!!

Just as well I leave tomorrow night for a nice quiet 9 days on my own

I should just get home as the troble begins

Hi to anyone I see on the roads,

Iain

I'm off on Friday with a few mates for the Dolomites and Slovenia for 10 days.

If you see a Yellow GS chasing after an Aprilia RSVR Milli, VFR and a Fazer thousand then give me a wave :)

You lucky buggers.

If you see an Aprilia, a VFR and a Fazer chasing a yellow GS be sure to give Whatton a wave.

Who else is taking the "wusses" route and going with the dealer party?

I am going with 29 others from Balderstons.

Leave Wednesday afternoon and stay in a Travel Lodge in Ashford as I don't do early mornings!

We are staying at the Hotel Mercure Sud in Strasburg Thursday, then the Mecure Hotel. Mittenwalder Strasse 2, in Garmisch on Friday and Saturday night and then at the Achat Hotel in Hockenheim on Sunday night.

Anyone else staying at these hotels up for meeting over a beer or two or even for a ride out Saturday from Garmisch?

Chris

Shouldn't it be 'last one buys the beers' ............Andy??

Looking at the road in the pic...............you'll piss all over us on your Honda XR650 and the closest we'll get to you on a GS........is.........your exhaust note!!!

Looking forward to to a few days of riding with you again this year!!
Hopefully with sun instead of rain, like we had last year.....

Remember this pic...........in heavy rain at the bottom of the Stelvio.............your body language says it all !!

We're doing the cross-country scenic route to Garmisch (Eastern France and Black Forest).
GS Clubbers staying in Oberammergau and I've planned some rideouts for Sun/Mon..........welcome to join us Chris, for a ride if you can.

Andy

Where is that road in the pic?!!!!

Or is it one of those "if I tell you, I'd have to kill you" secrets ;)

My maps are due on Monday but I've yet to receive any GPS info. Do you know the secret handshake or something ????

:)

Twotter

No secret handshake (or anything else shake) here.

I've got the maps area onto less than 256MB (276C 1 card limit) and have sorta routes for Zeebrugge to Bad Peterstal, Bad P to Oberammergau and all the hotel waypoints for the remainder.

Any further routes (the correct ones) would be welcomed but mine'll get me there along with a lot of "off route, recalculating" from SWMBO!

Sounds good. I'm doing much the same and it's doing wonders for my blood pressure. The first time I tried to work out the route I chose the wrong options for a couple of towns and ended up doing nearly 850 miles on the first day. Applying a bit of common sense I've come down to about 400 which sounds much more like it :)
