Rides spot on
I'm a happy bunny![]()
Richard, come down and have a ride, apart from being silly tall it fits me !!Let me know when you decide to move it on!

Will do that (probably after Spain)
Having chased Timolgra's quite a lot on the TAT I can assure you his didn't lack grunt!![]()

Ive come across another one that appears to be good value, there's another first in line to see it though - got to think about what my 640 ADV needs are

The rubber bands,PO said they were really handy for stuffing gloves / etc behind the "screen".Its got the usual marks to be expected though if it's been used as intended. Chris Barnes on this site and ADV Rider is your man for the Carbon fibre tank protectors to prevent further damage and protect the fuel tap which really is exposed to damage and the tanks cost a fortune and are like hens teeth.
Tim highlights the points we chatted about on Thursday and mentions the FCR Carbs as a worthwhile mod.
I've got a nice KTM power rangers suit that will fit you and you'll really look the part..!! Instead of the old Hein Gericke kit you wear.....
I've also got the fix for you being a short arse like me providing the prospective buyer doesn't need it - More anon.
I'm also sure you will find it much more comfortable than the 525 with its armchair like seat a opposed to the plank on the 525....
Single disc conversion could be worthwhile IMO
You will find out PDQ it's not a green laner..... turning circle is too big and is reduced further by the bar protectors hitting the mask/fairing.
The 525 will be better on the lanes providing you don't get bogged in the first 100m off road...... ha ha. Hope he doesn't read this Paul?
I'm intrigued by what look like big rubber bands on the fairing.. WTF are they?
More work to keep you occupied in the dark months ahead..... Enjoy mate.

ha ha.
Suit you down to a 'T'....

Thanks for the infoYou've probably guessed that for me, smooth bottom end and mid range power is by far the most important area to work on and that power needs to be instant!
Get it right and it transforms the bike![]()

Thanks for the info
I think this bike will evolve much as yours has Tim
I was expecting it to be more like my now sold 525 with its power delivery.
But I think a combination of things are preventing it breathing properly standard exhaust, worn carb, gearing etc .and although it's been regularly serviced I doubt it's ever been properly set up ,
The PO certainly did not have the experience to fettle it,
Most of the invoices I have are for standard servicing, and repairs.
Engine wise I have my f650 pretty well sorted, high comp piston and jetting means it pulls hard from idle ,and it has a huge amount of torque when slogging up steep climbs,
If I can get this bike as responsive as my BMW,with sorted suspension it will do me![]()

albeit a bit heavier.
), slightly stronger fork springs, perhaps from a 950/990 and overhaul the forks.
