650 Dakar (03) Top box options

Hi

I want to aquire a top box for my new 03 plate 650 Dakar, and I'm finding in tough to choose. It seems that whether I go for a BMW or a Givi (for example) I need a plate to secure the box to, so that adds a 100 plus quid

Can anyone help with some advice? A later model would have made the selection easier, since there seem to be more options - could be wrong? I want it to put a helmet in for commuting and leaving at a railway station, plus odds and sods, maybe a jacket too. I have BMW vario panniers too. I'm think a 46 litre ish would suffice?

Are there other makes that I should consider?

Having got rid of my BMW box, because it leaked like a sieve, I would recommend a Givi & plate as being better value for money.

The fact that they do not leak helps.
