After almost 4 months of problems with cylinder-head gaskets, radiators and other coolant related problems I finally got my bike back from the dealer a couple of weeks ago.

I have done just 70 miles since getting it back and now find it will not tick over.

If I release the throttle, as soon as the revs drop below 2000 rpm it dies.

The engine always seems to restart, but riding like this is tricky!

Anyone any ideas before I go back to BMW (again).

Check the battery connection, they get upset if its even slightly loose or dirty.

Fresh fuel is always a good thing to try, especially if its been lurking in a garage for ages.

Failing that unplug the brain, find a way to waste 10 minutes, then plug it back in and try again. This makes it forget all the learnt values and reset them to something reasonable. Go for a 'spirited ride' afterwards to finish the job.

Hope that helps.
