Just fitted higher seat it’s wife’s bike so had low seat now I’m getting a lot of turbulence over 40 can’t hear exhaust , I’m thinking cut screen down ?? Has anyone tried this I’m not really keen on screens always seem to get buffeting and noise , it’s got puig at moment 👍

Std F650/800 screens are small , virtually a flyscreen.

See here

The puig must be an aftermarket. Surely if you increased the seat height then you moved your head into the airflow. By cutting the screen down more of your torso will be in the airflow so noise may reduce but chest pressure will increase. You could always remove the screen , its four bolts from memory , just to try that if you’re not a fan of screens

Yes I will try that it’s tall screen with the flip on as well it was right in my eyeliner so took that off will try cutting couple of inches off 👍

I think that the standard F650GS twin screen is smaller than the F800GS variant.

Thanks I might look out for standard one rather than cut this one it works fine for wife 👍

That sounds like a plan. Standard ones are normally fairly inexpensive to buy secondhand.
Maybe try an ad in the Wanted section?

Good luck with it, whatever you try.

Agreed ^^^^^^^^ my standard one sat on the shelf until I sold the bike. I run a givi airflow, bought off Anne on here. On hot days I push it all the way down for max airflow. In regular use I use it half way up. Then again Im a 5’6” shortarse 🤣

Was the givi airflow an easy fit?

Literally a 10 min swap, five mins to take the old one off, retain the fasteners, five mins for the Givi. Givi has two extra support brackets that fit in pre drilled positions in the fairing. Only tools needed one allen key , one torx driver.

Bit late to this but we have an original F650GS low screen taken off an '08 bike at delivery and replaced with an F800 one. Yours for a donation to Air Ambulance, and possible postage cost. NB: picture shows it upside down.

Different fitting mines a 2016 , no. Aluminium bracket. The oem and Givi screen screw into a plastic frame in the fairing. Mine is a F700gs. . Neither had the bracket yours has.

Still exploring if can fit one. The aluminium frame doesnt need to be fitted. Its a case of whether the lower screws are in the same place and if the givi side brackets fit the sides of my fairing. Hmmmm

Got one from eaglescreens.au.com. Was excellent.

Picked up a Madstad screen. Much better than oem touring screen, even with a deflector.

I will be adding the “winglets” and wonder if anyone has experience of them?
