now theres a PART X Change I`d consider for my One owner been nowhere never raced, rallyed or trialed GS 1150

Me wants one of them, DOUGHNUT PRICES going up to £1.20 each :thumb

bigger holes in your duff nuts should net you the dough:augie

I agree I saw it at the NEC and just loved it, by far the best thing there.

I had a sneaky-peeky at the X-Moto today.

Not my cuppa but quite nice details. I got blank looks when I asked if there was a pannier and top-box set for it! :augie

I got a call from BMW last week to ask if I wanted to ride one of these on my off road course in may instead of the F650GS......... of course Sir I said:thumb2 I'll see how it compares to my latest toy the Husqvarna:rolleyes:

So what did you think? Was going to come and introduce myself and say hello yesterday at Barnstormer, but arrived just in time to see you depart!

I've just placed a order for a x challenge (subject to a test ride!.. like thats going to stop me buying one!) it looks great and more importantly looks like a right laugh to ride.

Hopefully see you out there on one!!

Has anyone tried out any of the new 650s since their launch on Saturday? I rather like the 650 X country...

I rode all three of them on Saturday and was rather impressed! Quick views are:

XChallenge: great fun, even on tarmac where I tried it out, but wow is it TALL (I'm 5'10")! And uncomfortable too - that seat is like riding an ironing board

XMoto: see above... but even more fun on tarmac, obviously...

XCountry: much more comfortable than the other two, but not as good as the Dakar seat.

I guess there's no surprises in this feedback. However, one potentially interesting approach I've been thinking about relates to the fact that the 3 bikes share an identical frame.

So theoretically, you could take the seat/tank/tail off the XCountry, for example, and put in on the XChallenge to combine the comfort with the go-anywhere chassis (and get a much lower seat height). I had the seat off all 3 bikes on Saturday and it looks like this sort of parts exchange is possible. I assume you could also grab the wheels of the XMoto for road riding. Hopefully someone will bring out some decent luggage / touring options too. In other words, I'm after 2-3 bikes in one :)

I'm having these thoughts with a view to making a lighter Dakar, but given it would cost a small fortune, I'm probably better off waiting until BMW release a new lighter one... or the F800GS for that matter

Anyway, there's my thoughts out loud for the morning... :o

I was looking at the X country at the weekend, i thought that it needed the front guard removing and the 21" front wheel from the Xchallenge fitting, a small beak under the headlight and a set of knobblies, it would make an ideal bike for greenlaning especially if you are short of leg like me:D

How much are they??
