Isn't there 2 positive wires on these??

One for the starter main feed and the other fer the instruments

It's been a while from I phootered wi one of these so please forgive If I'm wrong!

A question for ya GingerDJ what started it did ya take the battery out to charge it ??? or it Just did it one day to the next

I would point the finger at the alarm personally.

They are w*nk and feck up in all strange ways. I know you say it is working but is it ?? Maybe it it bleeping on and off but still imobilizing the bike hence no clicky clicky
