Hi all
I have done a mod which i heard about on the grape vine then looked up on the super cyber world wide web and now the bike runs poo.

The basic thing is you remove the air flow restrictor from the left side exhaust pipe which allows the gasses to get out of both exhausts.
I did this and noticed a performance difference straight away which was great but after a while the bike started to dislike idleing. now i have heard of another mod (bodge) where you cut the funnel off of the air box to allow the bike to breath. im not sure if this will help the idle problem.

one thing though i have noticed that the battery is poo so this could be the reason which is why im gonna try changing that first. any ideas will be greatly recieved.

Oh by the way My better half is selling her 650gs if anyone wants one. its red 9000 miles and has fsh message me if your interested

The injected 650s are very sensitive to battery problems, even slightly loose connections,so replace the battery if it's doubtful.
You can cut off some of the snorkel to increase airflow try looking on www.f650.com.

Exhaust restrictor mod

Graham took the restrictor out of the left hand exhaust when I got my 650 at the end of last year, it ran fine, sounded like a bigger lawn mower, did not alter the performance much and I ran it until the Remus came, however, fitting the K&N did make the mid range much better and has made the biggest difference and along with the new exhaust now sounds like a bike. I don't think that derestricting the silencer has affected your idle or all after market silencers would have the same effect. sue

From what I have seen around, altering the stock exhaust is a wast of time. The way to go is to open increase the inflow of air by hacking the snorkel about 2 inches in front of the air intake sensor, and then fit a good exhaust like a remus or sebring or any other. K&N filters have been proven to not filter as well as they claim leaving pretty big particles through hence I have never fitted one to mine.

Also remove the metalic sleeve that sits around the spark plug. That P.O.S eats up alot of the sparks power apparently.

If you want extra power you have to go for a power comander or similar to alter the FI map.
