650GS Tensioner upgrade

Having sorted the electrical glitches at relatively low cost and little or no blood spilled I thought I’d address the final boggle on my 2008 bike, the rattling on start up.
Seems the recommendation worldwide is to fit the Motorworks supplied ENA31009 tensioners - £72.50. I will see if my Haynes manual covers this but if not is this an easy job for a novice mechanic or best left to the experts?

I replaced the cam chain tensioner on my ‘09 F800 GS at around 98,000 miles , using the updated OEM part, which came with a longer / stronger spring. It certainly quietened it down

It was an absolute doddle on the F800 twin

How did it go? Noticeable difference?

Easy to get out, to put back you need to have strong hands and turn engine over slowly using back wheel . Half hour or so, did make a difference and new owner happy as well
