On my second (or possibly third 660) - has been fine til’ recently but now only displaying Basemap. Bought with Lifetime updates which are downloaded to device but I can’t view. ( Get maps are locked message)
Any ( helpful ) suggestions?
Hard Reset? If I can find how?

The 660 is getting very long in the tooth, whist the maps have got larger and / or changed in other ways.

There are posts on the problem, none of which (as I recall) give much of a solution, other than:

A. Requiring an SD card, to load maps onto. That is nothing new, of course.

B. Loading only specific countries or areas within countries. In short, do you really need Poland and / or Portugal if you are going to Scotland?

C. Using Open Street Maps instead.

Plug into your laptop and see what map selection is loaded to the Sat Nav. Sometimes during an update, it can wipe off other maps you have bought or downloaded.

The last map issued for the 660 was the NT2025.1 in July 2024. This will be the last map for that unit as Garmin are "Sundowning" the NT maps. Newer units from about 2014 use the NTU mapsets. First thing to do would be to check what is loaded. I have a Nav IV which is basically a bmw ised version of the 660. You find the map info on that unit by going to settings> map> map info. It will take you to a page that looks something like this.

I have a northwest section of Europe loaded on this device as it contains the UK and Ireland. I've also got OSM maps loaded on a micro SD card but you should only use one map set at a time otherwise the unit will get "Confused". You may have the maps loaded but unticked. After you see what is loaded fire up Garmin Express and see if you can load the maps you need.
