Very nice,much better FI than 690SMC.

He just needs to take it on the beach and it will be a credit to him.

Don't think he's used it much to be honest.

He fitted a different exhaust (FMF I think) but it was FAR too loud.

In all honesty, a decent seat (Renazo?), a small screen and an Aqualine tank would probably set you back 1500 - and you would have an excellent 690 Adv bike. Long fuel range & comfort. Cracking power output - and still comparatively light.

dont suppose in these tough recessionary times, KTM dealers are doing any good deals on 690 Enduros at the moment (regular variety)? How much can you expect to beat them down from the list price?

I've been thinking about a 690 Enduro..... I gather they've got a power switch under the seat, that you can tweak to a milder setting for off-road use, which will help an off-road steady eddie like me

You can also get luggage for them too, through KTM and Touratech (and probably others), so it could be an ideal candidate for weekend events where I've got to do a few road miles to get there and then do some trails over the weekend....

I'm thinking of doing a KTM Adventure course (Patsy Quick's one) to try one out off-road (and get some tuition on how to use it )
