My `08 690 enduro has relatively much kms on and been thinking that it would be nice to change the pump.
I bought pattern pump wich should replace original part. Would I need some other parts once working on it (filter)?
How about cleaning nozzle at same time, wich would be best way to do that?

Any tips for pump change are welcome :)

Get a Cycleworks pump from Rally Raid, the newer ones have a much better outlet spigot, use your existing pre filter/strainer

Do away with the internal filter and fit a metal one externally where the QD fuel line is.

Filter http://www.thejetworks.co.uk/shop/advanced_search_result.php?keywords=in+line+filter&x=7&y=7

Plumb your pump to the remaining fitting with submersible fuel line and use decent stainless fuel clamps rather than the crimp type. Make sure you don't kink the pipe and experiment until your new pipe is the right length!!

I cleaned my injector by rigging up some wire and connectors to a battery to intermittently operate the injector whilst a can of carb cleaner was fitted to the inlet pipe, I didn't back flush mine but it would perhaps be better to get it done properly.

There's some threads on ADVrider etc. re pump change but of course these are all peoples own ideas which I hopefully improved on in doing mine.

Here's another link on pump change
