690R ongoing fault - any ideas?

Thing is, I thought mine was still priming, I wonder if it has to make a certain pressure. Mine spent 3 weeks at the KTM dealer, I told them I didn't want the bike back till it was properly sorted, I researched the problem and it all pointed to the pump, they dismissed this and tried everything else and as a last resort changed it, hey fcukn presto fault gone.
Could be wrong, just my experience.

Yes, when the fault occurs I'd be inclined to quickly pull the injector and see if it sprays correctly whilst cranking the engine.
We're also told there's no spark but I think (and may be wrong) it won't spark if there's no injector pulse....need to find that one out for myself.

This is all good Tim(?), food for thought. Trouble is neither of us are that tech minded so an expensive diagnostic stay in a dealers beckons. I'm relaying all the suggestions back to Mark in the hope someone will have experienced something similar and save him a few quid. Without an in depth knowledge of the vagaries of the KTM ECU system we are guessing

Ok, well keep us posted as to what the outcome is. :beerjug:

I'm on a very steep learning curve with these bikes, when they're right, they're awesome......and like any bike, when they're wrong they need skipping:D

"Which" makes me think Ignition pick up unit again!

The pick up will tell the ECU what the crank position / angle is and trigger both injection and spark accordingly

What you need is to be near a KTM dealer and make it happen and drive it in and get live data from the ECU so you can see what is happening

Is there a GS911 thingy for Katooms?

I bought a cable from ebay meant to work with tuneecu... did it balls:mad:

Go to lonelec site or ebay shop and buy from them 100% guaranteed to work.

Problem solved, some thieving pikey twat nicked it last night along with the trusty DR350. Hope it runs long enough for the thief to hit a tree riding it
