Yep, its the Dubai bike, if interested in some of the history just search on my username - lots of pleas for assistance. Photos are actually rather flattering not quite as good nick as they show and within a day of being in the UK rust appeared on the swingarm.
All being well I will be at the airhead event next year Proff, but on present form it'll take me till then to get it registered (see later). Rather surprised that the bike arrived with still fuel in it and battery connected.
True to form with the G/S to date it has continuing difficulties. It arrived with a set of keys (one even being a BMW one) but for whatever reason they fit neither the lock or ignition. How the hell did that happen? Half my fault as kept no spares.
So any advice other than buy a new one appreciated. (number on the lock perhaps)? Its was already a new part from Motorworks so buying new would be a second within a year.
Another issue is dating the bike for registration. Is there as BMW club that can do this?
LOL
I lost a key for my R65g/s at Sycos do....
Went to Sherlocks and went through his HUGE collection of Beemer bike keys, found one in less than 100 go's
Only downside was the constant pisstaking from Peter [ AvroLancaster on here]
