A challenge for good photos...

I'm off to Slovakia later this year and as you do have been searching the net for info on my route.

I have found there ARE NO GOOD ILLUTRATIONS ANYWHERE of the roads in the Carpathian mountains (mainly the bit if you come from Czech and turn right). Any pictures there are look to have been taken 50 years ago - does something happen when you get over the border to the way camera's react?!

If you search for 'mountain passes alps' you can't move for stunning shots, but the Carpathian scenery should be close to this surely, yet all you get is a faded sheep drinking from a stream with a blurred green backdrop.

So does anyone have any good photos is my question!
 
Crossing the Carpathians in Romania

Do a search for Transfagarasan Highway in google images ... its the Carpathians in Romania ... how far right did you want to turn?

Thanks, it's more than I got before. Still not an abundance of them though...I'll fix that when I go!

When I said right is was talking right as you come in from Czech - i.e. the little stretch of mountains on the west tailing off towards Bratislava. Sadly I've not got time to do the whole thing.
