A DAKAR EVENING 28th April

I found out about this at my local TRF meeting and thought I'd post here in case anyone is interested in coming along.

A DAKAR EVENING WITH CRAIG BOUNDS
Tuesday 28th April 2009, 7.30 for 8.00Pm start at Bedwas Rugby Club

"Craig is the only Welshman ever to complete the Dakar in it's 30year history and he managed it on his first attempt.

Come and hear Craigs story of just what it takes to ride the Dakar. It's an evening not tobe missed.

Plus Craigs actual Dakar Desert Bike will be on show.

Had a few really good chats with Craig at the BWM off road skills course a few weeks ago. Incredible and smashingly lovely chap. Rode the Dakar three weeks after breaking his sternum

Won't be going. Last w/e spent Saturday evening at Bahnstormers and had a Dakar evening with Simon Pavey. Great night, and some of the insights in to what goes on were well worth hearing. It should be a good night out.

Turned out to be an interesting evening.

Craig Bounds gave a very interesting presentation in the first half and the explanation of the contents of his travel boxes was second to none.

Simon Pavey was also on hand to answer questions.

So all in all "Well done Craig".
