Hello fellow celts,
This is a long shot but you never know,
I am trying to find my grandmothers sister
her name was/is Joyce Wintle, she was
born in India (be in her 90's now) and in the 1940's moved to Wales,
her fathers name was Edmund Fitzharding Wintle.
Her sister my Gran maidan name is Matidla Rhoda Wintle.
Thanks for your help
as i said long shot
but you never know.

That certainly is a long shot.

Sorry an't help with that one.

you could try the electoral role.

Merry Xmas and good luck

Using www.192.com there is 1 Joyce Wintle listed in Wales, but I think you have to be a subscriber to get date of birth, address etc.

I'm not a subscriber and I don't know anyone that is. :nenau

My wife has been looking up her family of late, so she may have a few ideas. Will ask her to look in later.

WINTLE, JOYCE CAMERON 30 August 1909 GLOUCESTER 1989 September Volume No 22
Page No 1873
Reg No 989

no idea what that means...

Taff you should use BT.com

I found 6 'Wintles' just by searching 'Wintle' within the post code area of 'CF'
and another 2 in 'NP
all with numbers and addresses';)

Hope that helps a bit:thumb2

192.com death certificates issued there was no more info listed on that page tried electoral register search first = zero hits saw the aunt? had a middle name searched alpha betical with initials only 3 rd hit for death certs gloucester is cloes to wales seemed plausible. as about the right age can't be that many ladies, wales with that name, born about that time...

Ok lads getting very close here
so this is what i have found out in India
Joyce married William Richard Davies who
was a sargent with the Welsh Regiment
stationed in Baird Barracks, Bangalore, India
on the 1st Nov 1941.
Again I know its a long shot but you never know,
only got about another 8 weeks left in India
so any info would be great.
