It has supprised me on how much"Grunt" my 1100 has, it just pulls, with the tall screen, just don't realise how fast I have pulled away from everything, except......
.. the vibrations through the seat remind me I'm doing over 80mph,

I was expecting vibrations through the handlebars if anything, not through the seat.
Does anyone have any ideas what causes this or is this the Norm, if so, can anyone recomend a more comfy seat ..

Before investing in a new seat you want to take time out and make sure your valves are well adjusted and throttles are well balanced. Much of the vibration will disappear if these two elements are well adjusted. If you still find it a pain in the ass then there are loads of possibilities. I have a Wunderlich Ergo Hi saddle on my 1100 . This is 4cm higher than standard so it has 4cm of extra padding . It's better for my ass and my long legs (I'm 6'3") . There is a guy called Melvin (do a search on the forum) who makes some very nice looking saddles and you can have gel pads and all sorts of customizing if you want to go that route. Don't bother with Corbin - many people seem to think they are overpriced and overrated.
Happy riding

Bikergary,
If you do come to wanting a new seat, you wont go wrong with a Melvin seat. Melvin did mine, at a third the price of a Corbin, and its great. All day comfy and looks good.

Buy a Corbin...............they have no equal............despite the bollocks that everybody says about other seats.............
Why............?
Because they use their own seat base and this is wider........thus giving your backside more support.
When you use a standard BMW seat base...............ie Wunderlich and Melvin's..............it's just a variation on a theme..........more padding............but no more width and support...........therefore you might as well bungy a cushion from your sofa on your stock seat........if you just want more padding...........

Sorry Guys but I'm with Johnny again, in my personal experience having had OE, Corbin, Wu'lich, T'tech, Melvin and Sargeant on either 1150GS or 100GS-PD there is nothing to touch the Corbin for comfort. I haven't tried Meyer or Russell but of those I have simple - no equal.

I was sad to see my Corbin Dual Canyon go but on the PD I only run a single seat and in my stupidity I spent £350+ on a new single OE seat and paid to have it Melvyn'd, that £350 would've bought me the single Corbin :(

On the 1150 I now run a Sargeant, looks great and is at least as comfy as the Melvyn'd seat but not the Corbin.

For seats and Corbin read Autocom and bike intercoms - nuff said
