Gents,
Does anyone have their R1150GS and a tape measure to hand, please? If so could you possibly measure the bike at it's very widest point, i.e. what's the smallest door width you could comfortably ride it through without folding in mirrors or removing panniers. I believe it's around 1100mm, but if someone could confirm I'd be really grateful :thumb2
Many thanks
Mick

Standard 1150gsa is just under 1000mm; the handlebars & crash bars are almost identical width.

That's without panniers; including panniers would depend on which ones r fitted?

Thanks S660Z, good point re: pannier type. I've got a pair of Touratart 41ltr Zega Specials but to be honest they're only on a couple of times a year so not really an issue.
I've just had a chap come to measure up to fit a pair of doors to get the bike through what is now a kind of porch-come-utility room that used to be the drive way and have decided on a normal width door and a half width with a total opening of 1300mm; that should be plenty.
